Let's look at the sRGB gamut again. Note how the full space of colors we can see isn't a triangle: the green area curves. This reflects the fact that there is no wavelength of light that just activates your green receptors: it's not possible to produce the color "all green receptors" in nature, even if your visual system could process that.
